Route 9 or Zion-Mount Carmel Highway is the road traversing the southern part of Zion National Park starting shortly after the southern entrance and going towards Kanab to the park’s eastern entrance. It is amazingly picturesque, winding through brightly colored rock formations. It also boasts two very impressive tunnels carved through the rocky peaks of Zion. If you are visiting the park make sure you spare time for this most scenic drive.
